Charity Waxing

Venue : The Mill Brow Social Club in Widnes

The Event : The waxathon took place at the Mill Brow Social Club in Widnes 8pm to 10pm Friday 6th November. The Waxathon went really well although the 4 male volunteers were a bit nervous but really up for raising money for this great cause.

The following took part in the event:

Waxer: Emma Brandreth
Martin Ridd: Hair shaved and eyebrows waxed
Michael Colebrook: Full body wax
Michael Carter: Hair shaved and under arms waxed
Jon Wainwright: Leg wax

The crowd got quite big during the event and there was a group out celebrating the birth of their baby who also decided to get involved, one of the guys even had their chest waxed. They helped to raise an additional £60.

Mark managed to make an appearance at the event - just in time to see all the pain and of course he wanted to pull some strips off himself! By this time just Michael Colebrook was left, so Mark pulled strips off the backs of his legs and his bum cheek.

Although you could tell it was hurting them they stuck at it as they no doubt had in their minds all the pain that Mark had gone thorough that year. Emma only had 2 hours to do the waxing but did a fantastic job. The Waxing Queen said "It was a pleasure to hold a fundraiser for such a good cause and we are all looking forward to our next event."

Amount raised for MGF : £380 and still coming...
