'Love Your Balls' Roadshow 2011
Happy Valentines Day Halton!
We were out and about across the borough visiting lots of businesses, spreading the word about balls and encouraging each man we spoke to, to get acquainted!
The overall plan was to get out to as many male oriented places of work as possible and teach them a bit about Testicular Cancer, get them to have a go of our Latex Testicle model and pose for the local paper.
The day went really smoothly and we loved every minute!
First stop was Rockwood of Widnes, where we were greeted by about 15 very quiet gentlemen who watched us fumble slightly with our posters as the nerves settled in! They soon warmed up though and were more than keen to pull on t-shirts and pose with our 'Love Your Balls' kit! I wonder how many of them checked their balls that night?
Next, was Feralco of Ditton Road, who all joined us on their dinner hour! We had a room full of about 15 gents who were quite ballsy and really got involved with the Latex Testicles and shared some of their own experiences - Thanks!
Onto Pixy Treasures next, were we traumatised quiet Mark with our Testicles but really hit home with our message as all the team told us they learnt lots about balls and would definitely make sure they followed up on our advice.
Cheshire Plumbing was quite a visit and we received an awesome quote from David aka 'Boris' who told us with loads of conviction, 'you've gotta watch your nads!' Thanks to Mark Evans for letting us pop in!
K & L Valeting based in Halton Lea, who have already kindly had our message added to their car fresheners and donated a load for our campaign! Thanks! We spent some time here, teaching the lads what normal felt like by demonstrating how to self examine on our Testicles. We asked Keith, 'What do you think of our balls?' and his answer was, 'Yeah, they're nice balls, Yeah!' Not quite what we were looking for Keith - but hilarious all the same! Hope you checked em when you got home?
We ended our day with two last visits, the first at Creative Pulse in Runcorn, where Barry had a right good feel of the balls! In fact, it took a while for us to get them off him! He had loads to say on the subject and we were made up to be able to visit him and finally show off what we do best - Talk about Balls!
Last, but not least we visited our mates at 'Rusty's Roofing!' Keith, Mike and Martin looked well good in our 'Love Your balls' T's and had loads of fun posing for pictures with their family on the sidelines! Well Done Lads!
So, there we have it, our first Roadshow completed and we loved it so much! It was so nice to get out and about in the community, talk about Testicles and meet lots of our male audience in the flesh! We really hoped everyone involved got as much out of it as we did, and we look forward to getting out to more of you in the future!
In the meantime, 'Love your Balls' as much as you can!
